Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that taking your first steps into the world of the Internet can be a confusing time. Here are a few of the questions we have been asked.

The turnaround for a typical website will usually be between two and four weeks. If this time frame is unworkable, we can often come to some arrangement to speed the process up.
We ask for 25% of the final cost to be paid upfront. This enables us to finance the hosting packages, domain registration and any other services which need funding. The remaining balance is usually payable on project delivery. There may be some situtations, in particular for longer and more complex projects, where payments are made at four intervals of the project.
If we host your website for you, or we have purchased your domain name for you, there will be annual charges for each. For details about Hosting prices please visit the web hosting page. Depending on what type of domain name you purchase, the renewal costs will either be annual or bi-annual. Please refer to the domain names page for additional information
Every website needs to be stored in a place where it can be accessed over the internet. Hosting refers to the area on the Internet where the files, pictures, documents etc which make up your website are stored. We have our own areas on the Internet where we can store and maintain your website.
A domain name is the unique website address for your website. Google.co.uk is a domain name, and can be accessed by placing www.google.co.uk in the address bar of your internet explorer. We can arrange the purchase of these names through our domain registration partners UKREG. Domain names, typically cost between £9.99 and £15.00 depending on whether it is a .COM, .CO.UK etc. Also, domain registrations can be purchased with 1 year or 2 year renewals. If you do not renew your domain name it will be made available for someone else to purchase.
